Communication Class

Communication Class!!!
Last week was the end of our communication class. During this communication class, we learn mostly about communication skills and soft skills. We learn about leadership, public speaking, how to negotiate and other skills that needed in working life. And not to forget, we had grooming session. This was the time that we had taught how to dress up properly and appropriately for work. All the lessons that we learn in the whole month of communication class had to be apply in our final presentation. This final presentation is about presenting our proposal in effort to get 30 million fund for our research. The day before our final presentation, we got our public speaking day. We had to give talk individually in front of our class. we had given 3 minutes to talk. This is very precious experience cause its gave me confidence and made me believe in myself. In this session, 15 best speakers were chosen and they got gift from Mr. Hisyam. I'm not one of them but next time i will try my best and give my very best. For the final presentation, my group  which is McBio group, had agreed to wear business suit. So on that day, we all wearing black business suit and give our best in presenting our proposal. Of course we were very nervous but luckily with all knowledge that we had learn before made us confident and trying very hard to give the best. Thus, for me, this class was very interesting class with a lot of new informations and knowledge that we will need it for our future in order to be the successful person in life.

Resume~~~~~

resume~~
Everyone knows about resume right??? but how many know how to write effective resume and cover letter?? this slot taught me how to write effective resume. After that, we had to write our resume by ourselves. It is very good because now we know how to write our resume more effectively.

That's it for now. Bubyeeee~~~~~

Meeting~~~

Its time to learn about meeting~~~ Whoaa~~We got so many informations that we didn't knew it before. This slot was conducted by Assoc. Prof. Mohd Khir Ashari. The slot was about how to conduct effective meeting. This slot is very new to me although i got experiences in conducting meeting but i think about 50% of my meeting didn't follow the rules to be an effective meeting, Now i know why I hate meeting so much..haha
This slot is quite serious. Prof Khir always stressed out about how Chairman should not become a person who talk a lot in the meeting. He also stressed out about the minutes. For me this slot is very good because we were introduced about the meeting and how to handle it.

till then~~ bubyeeee

The Art of Public Speaking~~~

The Art of Public Speaking!!!! this subject is so much fun. The trainers are En Hisham Ab Karim and Ms Shadwan Hanani. En Hisham started this class by interviewing most of the students. He could guess our personality!!! amazing!! He also very funny. I can say we laugh all the time. hee. After the slot by En Hisyam, we got some activities conducted by Ms Nani. First of all, we had to draw something that first came out of our mind. I drew plane. Why I drew this??? It is because this is the first thing i can think of when i got the paper. Then Ms Nani asked 10 persons who had finished drawing to go to the front. I didn't go this time..huhu..So, for this 10 luckiest people, they got to present their drawing in 5 minutes. Actually they had to talk about how the drawing will represent themselves. It is quite fun actually because spontaneously they had to think and talk. Then, the second activity was, in group, we got 1 item, which was in my case, our group got poncho (raincoat) and we had to promote and convince people about our product. I love this slot very much. In my group we did sort of acting which we compared the benefits of using poncho and umbrella. hee..It is very very fun looking to the idea of every group to promote their thing. This class is so much fun and i think we got a lot of knowledge about public speaking.

“How to Reach An Audience Through Blogging”

.
What is a blog? According to Wikipedia, blog is a type of a website or a part of a website. A blog is usually a mixture of what is happening in a person’s life and what is happening in the web, a kind of diary or guide site. There are so many types of blogs such as personal blog and bussiness blog.

Usually, a person who have a blog wants to share their ideas, experiences or their opinions. In order to do this, they have to make their blog as interesting as possible to attract people to read it. So, what should they do and  how they can reach the audience through blogging?

First of all, the lay-out and designs should be interesting and simple which everyone from all walks of life can read it. The original lay-out and designs of blogs encourages guests to leave their thoughts and to enter in a discussion with the author or other guests. The simplicity of post  is important to make your message in the blog reach the audiences . An easy-to-understand post would make the readers feel more compelled to finish reading the post.

The other way in reaching an audience through blogging is by sharing the sites on social network such as Facebook and twitter. Actively market your blog by putting a plugin on it so that you can link your blog to the social network page. This is very advantagous due to the greater demographic pole as the groups are highly related and linked together. The individuals in the group can easily give comments and ideas on the link. Other than that, you should leave a positive  comments at related blogs and make sure your name link back to your blog.

The issues that you choose to put in your blog also affect the numbers of readers  in it.  Immature issues will tend to make the readers find the blog as childish and it would put them away from reading it. Thus, you have to make sure your blog is as interesting as possible and packed with useful & relevant  informations.

Now, it is your turn to make the readers reach you and start blogging with you. Share your ideas in the comments field and who knows, maybe some other readers will follow your link back to your blog!
